Verify your game cache files

If Verifying the cache does not correct the issue, please delete the local content of this game and reinstall directly from the Steam servers.


Deleting the GCF did not fix it

Exit Steam and do a Windows search for:

filesystem_steam.dll

(start > search > for files or folders > all files or folders > all or part of the file name)

Delete all instances except the one in the C:\Program Files\Steam\bin folder
(typically c:\program file\\steam\bin\filesystem_steam.dll)

If you accidentally delete that file then you'll get an error when you start Steam.
Fix this by renaming your ClientRegistry.blob file and then starting up Steam.
